How do I bring Reiki into my professional work in a way that feels grounded, ethical, and genuinely integrated?
That question has shaped so much of my work over the past several years, and it has also changed the way I think about Reiki training itself.
This fall, we are offering The Third Presence: Reiki for Helping Professionals — Levels I & II, a Reiki training pathway specifically designed for therapists and other helping professionals.
Who Is This Training For?
If you do not have any Reiki training and you are licensed in mental health, social work, psychology, nursing, teaching, coaching, massage therapy, or another helping profession, you can begin your journey with Reiki Level I.
If you are already Reiki II trained, you are not starting over.
The Third Presence is an opportunity to return to Reiki through a different lens, one specifically designed for those of us whose work involves sitting with other people.
A Different Approach to Reiki Training
We will introduce, and then deepen into:
the Reiki Precepts
meditation
Reiju
self-Reiki
traditional Reiki practices
Reiki symbols
We will also explore questions that do not always get addressed in traditional Reiki training:
How does my own Reiki practice shape the way I show up with clients?
How do I distinguish intuition from interpretation?
What happens around consent, touch, power, boundaries, and scope when Reiki enters a professional relationship?
How do I allow Reiki to inform my work without turning it into simply another intervention I do to someone?
We Begin With the Practitioner
This is an important distinction in The Third Presence.
Before we talk about incorporating Reiki into professional practice, we deepen our own relationship with Reiki because the quality of our presence is part of what we bring into every room.
If you have been wanting to revisit your Reiki practice, deepen what you already know, or create a stronger foundation for eventually integrating Reiki into your clinical or professional work, I would love to have you join us.
You do not need another attunement to “get” Reiki. You are being invited to return to it, practice it, and discover what becomes possible when Reiki begins to shape the practitioner you are.

Looking Ahead
The Third Presence Levels I & II are the Reiki foundation of this training pathway. We will go deeper into the specific clinical integration of Reiki within psychotherapy in the advanced Clinical Integration Training, scheduled for early 2027.
